15 years of "password1" finally caught up to me at 2am
Had my email account hacked back in March. Woke up to 400 password reset emails from random sites I haven't touched since 2010. The guy who got in actually emailed me to brag about it. He said my password was the first thing he tried. I had been using the same password since high school. Just never thought about it because nothing bad had happened yet. Now I use a password manager and rotate stuff every 6 months. What wake up call made you finally change your habits?
