Tried insulated concrete forms vs standard stick framing on my build in Vermont
The ICFs cost about $3,000 more upfront but my heating bill this January was literally half of what my neighbor paid with traditional framing. Anybody else made the switch and seen similar savings?

Did you notice a big difference in how steady the indoor temp stayed during that cold snap? I did ICF on my place in Maine and even when it hit -20 the house barely lost any heat while my buddy's stick framed place was running his furnace nonstop. The air sealing alone made the biggest difference for me, no drafts at all near the outlets or corners.
