Paid $800 for a spray foam insulation crew that left gaps everywhere

I figured paying pros was the safe move but they blew through it in 4 hours and missed every corner around the windows. Ended up spending another $200 on a can of Great Stuff and a weekend crawling around patching it myself. Anyone else get burned by a rushed insulation job?

Missed every corner around the windows" - man that's the most frustrating part. It's like these crews just spray the big flat areas and call it done, but all the heat leaks out through the gaps anyway. I've noticed this pattern with a lot of trades lately, not just insulation. Everyone's in such a hurry to get to the next job they skip the details that actually matter. Reminds me of how people speed through mowing their lawn but leave all the edges uncut. It's like we've accepted that doing something halfway is good enough.

How do crews get away with charging full price when they skip the hard parts like that?
