Paid $600 for custom cabinets that don't even close right
I wanted fancy inset cabinets for my kitchen reno, the kind that sit flush with the frame. Found a guy on Craigslist who said he could do them cheap, like half what the big box stores wanted. Six hundred dollars later, two of the doors rub against each other and one drawer won't shut all the way. He used some cheap plywood that's already chipping at the edges after three months. Now I'm looking at paying another $400 to get a real carpenter to fix his mess. Has anyone else fallen for a low-ball cabinet bid and regretted it hard?

Bruh 5 minutes in and he just hit me with "just trust the process" with zero screenshots to back it up. That's when I knew I was getting the premium version of a half-baked idea.
