Overheard a framer in Madison say my osb orientation was backwards

I was grabbing lumber at Home Depot in Madison last weekend and overheard an old framer telling a younger guy that my whole roof sheathing layout was wrong (not like he knew it was mine, but I had just stacked it in my cart). He said I was putting the strength axis the wrong way across the trusses, which honestly I never even thought about before. I went home and checked my plans and sure enough, I had it 90 degrees off on 3 panels. Has anyone else had a random stranger at the store save them from a big mistake?

Man, that framer probably saved you a headache and a half right there.

Read an article last week that said bad electrical work causes a ton of house fires every year. That framer likely kept them from a much bigger problem down the road. Sometimes it pays off when someone catches a mistake before it turns into a disaster.
