My custom staircase railing started pulling away from the wall last night

Came home from a showing around 9pm and noticed the top bracket on my oak railing was about an inch out from the drywall. I built that staircase myself 8 months ago. Used Tapcon screws into the studs but I guess the wood settled or something. Got my level out and saw the whole rail had shifted down maybe a quarter inch on one side. No cracks in the drywall yet thank god. I pulled the bracket off, filled the old holes with wood glue and dowels, then re-drilled into the same studs with longer screws. Feels solid now but I'm going to check every bracket on all three flights of stairs tomorrow. Has anyone else had a railing pull loose like this after a few months?

Four months after I installed mine the bottom bracket pulled loose just like that, same fix worked fine.
