Just saved a ton on our foundation by getting a second soil test
The first report said we needed a $25,000 engineered fill, but a second test from a different company showed the native soil was actually fine. Has anyone else had a similar experience with site prep costs?

We had a soil report that wanted crazy expensive piers. Got a second opinion from a local guy who actually walked the lot. He said the first company used generic data for our whole zip code. His test pits showed solid clay just a few feet down. Saved us over 30k on the foundation plan. Always worth paying for another look.

My buddy had the same thing happen, @william_henderson! A second look from someone who checked his actual land saved a ton of money.
