I finally got the roof framing done on my tiny house after 3 months of delays
Started building a 200 square foot cabin on my lot outside Portland last October... planned for a simple shed roof but then my lumber order got messed up and I had to wait 6 weeks for the right trusses. My brother came out last Tuesday and we got the ridge beam set in just 4 hours with a borrowed telehandler... felt like a huge weight lifted. Still need to sheath it but walking up there and seeing how the south facing slope catches the sun makes all the headache worth it. Anyone else have a project that just sat unfinished for way too long before it clicked?

Man, that sun hit on the south slope must feel like a victory lap after all that waiting. I've got a buddy who let his deck sit half-framed for a full year before he finally got around to finishing it. Sometimes it just takes that one good push.

My buddy framed his deck in one weekend and it rotted out in two years.
