Hot take: I regret paying extra for a 'smart' home package from our builder.

We added a $12,000 package for automated lighting and climate control, but half the features are glitchy and the app is a headache. It feels like we paid a premium to beta test unreliable tech for them. Anyone have a solid, simple system they actually like using?
