Heard an architect say "the client will never notice" and I had to walk away from the table
My buddy is building a house out in Parker County and asked me to sit in on a meeting with his architect last month. They were going over window trim details and the guy says something like "just run the standard casing, the client will never notice the difference." I get that costs matter but telling the actual owner that to their face? I told my buddy right then he needs a new architect. Has anyone else had a builder or designer try to brush off your specific requests like that?
Architects are supposed to push back on stuff that actually matters structurally, not trim details. Kind of dramatic to walk away from the table over window casing.
Get where you're coming from on this one @grant_allen85. Walking away over window trim does seem like a waste when there are real structural issues to fight about on a jobsite.
