Found my 2010 webcam video of me doing the Soulja Boy in my bedroom and I can't stop watching it
I was digging through an old external hard drive last night looking for tax stuff from 2019 and ended up in a folder called "Videos" that I hadn't opened in probably 12 years. Inside was a webcam clip from my bedroom in my mom's house in Phoenix, January 2010, me doing the Soulja Boy dance in a Hurley hoodie with the strings pulled way too tight. The quality is like 240p max, there's a Windows XP startup sound at the start because I didn't know how to edit, and at one point my cat walks across the keyboard and the whole thing freezes for 8 seconds. The worst part is I remember uploading this to Facebook and thinking I was going to get discovered. The video has 11 views. I watched it 4 times in a row and then sent it to my sister. Now I can't decide if I should delete it or save it for my future kids to embarrass me with. Has anyone else found an old clip that made you physically cringe at your own voice and dance moves from over a decade ago?
My buddy found a 2009 video of himself doing the Stanky Leg in his grandma's living room in a Affliction shirt and he showed it at his wedding rehearsal dinner. His now wife almost called the whole thing off. He kept it though, said his kids need to see that their dad was actually cool once. I'd say save yours, the cringe fades and then it just turns into a time capsule.
