Wasted $350 on a microphone I barely use now
I bought this fancy condenser mic from a shop in Austin back in 2020, thought it would make my videos sound pro. Turns out my room has this weird echo and I never bothered to treat it, so the audio still sounds boxy. It's just sitting in my closet now while I use a $60 dynamic mic I got off Amazon. Anyone else blow cash on gear they thought would fix everything?

Maybe it's just me but a good mic still beats a bad one even with room echo.

Get where you're coming from completely. A decent mic with some room noise still beats the cheap ones that sound like you're talking through a tin can. Clean audio with some echo is way easier to fix than that muffled, boxy sound.
