Vent: I bought a $200 'viral' editing template pack and it was a total waste
I saw an ad for this pack of Premiere Pro templates that promised to make my videos look pro and get more clicks. I bought it last month, thinking it would save me hours. The templates were so overused and clunky that I spent more time fixing them than if I'd just edited from scratch. Has anyone found a good, simple template source that doesn't look like everyone else's?

That's a lot of money for templates. Most of those packs are just the same trendy effects repackaged.

Ugh, tell me about it. I just started making my own presets from scratch and it's way cheaper.

Totally agree about making your own being cheaper! I got so sick of buying packs that all looked the same, just like @the_mia said. I started by tweaking one free preset I actually liked, changing the curve and grain settings. Now I have a few go-to looks that feel way more like my own photos. It took an afternoon to figure out, but it was worth it.
