The year I swore by a $20 ring light, then met my match with a paid preset pack
I was the person who thought spending money on presets was a total scam. Like why pay $50 for something I could just tweak in Lightroom myself, you know? Then I grabbed the Mastin Labs Fuji Pro pack during a sale last March and honestly, my skin tones stopped looking like a cadaver. Has anyone else caved on a tool they swore they'd never buy and actually loved it?

Last year I spent $90 on a preset pack called "The Archetype Process" and felt like a total fool until I put it on a photo of my sister's dog and suddenly the fur looked like it had actual texture instead of a muddy blur. I still think presets are overpriced garbage most of the time, but that one pack saved me hours I used to waste sliding the clarity bar back and forth. What pack broke your no-spend rule?

$90 for dog fur texture is wild to me, @perry.evan, but I just brighten shadows manually instead.
