Hot take: the whole "upload daily" advice is garbage for small channels

I read a post in a Facebook group last week where someone said they gained 2000 subs by uploading twice a week instead of every day. That got me thinking. Has anyone else seen better growth when you take more time on each video?

Saw a guy on Twitter who makes those super edited gaming montages, he was uploading every single day for like 6 months and barely cracked 500 subs. Then he switched to one video every two weeks but spent like 40 hours on each one, his channel blew up after that. The quality difference was night and day, you could tell he actually put thought into the cuts and the music choices instead of just throwing something together. So yeah, totally agree with your take, feels like people just repeat that daily upload advice because it worked for some huge channels that already had an audience.

yeah that's basically what happened when I started slowing down on my own stuff. way more consistent growth once I stopped treating it like a race.
