Hit 50,000 subscribers without noticing until a friend told me

I was just going about my week making woodworking videos in my garage in Phoenix when a buddy texted me congrats. I checked my dashboard and sure enough, I had crossed 50k subs three days earlier. It was weird because my 10k milestone felt huge, but this one just crept up on me while I was focused on a jig build for dovetails. Has anyone else missed a big milestone because you were just grinding away?

My buddy Dave runs a little auto detailing business out of his garage. He hit 10,000 followers on his shop page back in March and didn't notice for almost two weeks because he was too busy trying to remove bird crap from a customer's hood. He said the numbers stopped meaning much once he was actually in the weeds just trying to get through orders.
