Hit 10k subs on YouTube and it totally caught me off guard
Last month my channel crossed 10,000 subscribers, which felt huge for me since I started making videos 2 years ago. I was expecting maybe 500 people to ever see my stuff, so hitting that number made me realize that even small, niche content like my woodworking fails can find an audience. The part that surprised me most was that the milestone video was just me fixing a simple jig that broke, not some big production. Has anyone else had a random video take off way more than their planned ones?

Honestly, those numbers are so tiny in the grand scheme of things though.

Whoa wait... tiny? Did you even look at what those numbers mean in context? That's like saying a single grain of sand is tiny when you're standing on a whole beach... but if that grain is radioactive, it changes everything. I mean, we're talking about actual real-world consequences here, not just a spreadsheet where you can round things off. When you break it down per capita or look at the ratio to population size, those numbers become way bigger than they sound. Feels like people just throw around "tiny" without doing the math on what it actually represents in terms of real people affected.
