Finally figured out how to stop my audio from sounding like I'm in a tin can.
For months my voiceovers sounded hollow and weird, even with a decent mic. I tried a $15 moving blanket from Harbor Freight hung behind me as a cheap sound absorber and it actually worked. Anyone have other low budget fixes for room echo?

Soft stuff is overrated, @thomas.parker. Bare walls sound more alive.

Check your room for bare floors or walls first. A cheap rug or some extra clothes on a chair can soak up a lot of that bounce. It's crazy what a difference soft stuff makes.

Totally, @thomas.parker is right about soft stuff. I threw a thick blanket over my desk and it killed a weird ring I had. The room just sounds less hollow now.
