DAE secretly use pre-made pie crust in their baking tutorials?
I run a baking channel and always grab store-bought crust for my videos to keep things simple. Everyone online acts like homemade dough is the only way, but my stuff still looks and tastes great. Do we really need to shame shortcuts in food content?

Look, my homemade crust once tried to escape the pie dish.

You are speaking my language! My apple pie crust once staged a FULL rebellion in the oven. It shrank down so much the filling bubbled over the sides. I had to put a baking sheet underneath to catch the mess. The whole kitchen smelled like burnt sugar for hours. Pastry can be so WILD when you make it from scratch.

Spill the details on your crust rebellion. Did you use butter or shortening, and how cold was it before baking? My last attempt stuck to the pan because I rushed the chilling step. What was your dough handling like, gentle or aggressive?
