Accidentally uploaded a blooper reel and got my highest ever retention rate
I was editing a tutorial for Photoshop masking and somehow the blooper version went live for 3 hours before I noticed. The average view duration was 92% which is double my normal numbers. Has anyone else had their mistakes actually perform better than their polished stuff?

Did you keep the blooper up once you saw it was working or take it down? I had a similar thing happen with a DIY fix video where my dog walked through the shot and knocked over a tool stand, people loved that part way more than the actual repair.

Seems like you're overthinking a blooper.

Ray, that's exactly what happened with my old BBQ build video. I was trying to show how to fix a rusty grate and my cat jumped up onto the table and just sat there staring at the camera. I left it in because I was too lazy to redo the whole segment, and now people always comment about the cat more than the grate fix. It's funny how the unplanned stuff ends up being the best part of a video.
