Writing prompts got stale when I stopped using writing books for ideas

For about 3 years I used random prompt generators online for every story start. Then I picked up an old book on plot structures from 1987 at a thrift store and my prompts got way more detailed and weird. Has anyone else found better material from outdated writing guides than modern apps?
