Showerthought: My barber told me the best story ideas come from asking 'what if' about normal things, like 'what if that guy's umbrella was a secret weapon?'
He said he gets his best ideas while cutting hair, just watching people and twisting one small detail, which made me realize I've been trying too hard to invent whole new worlds instead of tweaking my own.

Honestly that explains so much about my last haircut. Dude kept staring past me at the rain outside and muttering. Now I'm wondering if he was planning a spy novel or just forgot his lunch. My new theory is my uneven bangs are part of a bigger story about a time-traveling lawnmower. He just got distracted before he could explain the plot.

Oh man, that hits close to home. I once zoned out so hard during a cut that I gave a guy a full-on bowl cut. He was not happy. Your barber was definitely on chapter three of that lawnmower epic.

That time-traveling lawnmower theory from @gavin_hill27 is honestly perfect. It explains why my last haircut felt like the barber was cutting for three different decades at once. The left side was a clean 90s fade, the right had these weird long chunks like a 70s rock star, and the top was just... gone. Maybe his mind was stuck in a flashback scene with a rebellious riding mower. The guy probably just needed to finish the chapter where it fixes global warming.
