Noticed something at the old train station in Chattanooga that gave me a story idea
I was walking through the old terminal building and saw a single, worn-out leather glove on a bench by the ticket window. It looked like it had been there for years, just waiting for its owner. It made me think of a prompt about a character who finds an object that lets them see the last day of its owner's life. Has anyone else gotten a good idea from a random thing they saw in public?

Wait, is the glove really from years ago if it's just sitting on a bench? I mean, wouldn't cleaning staff or someone have moved it? Maybe it was left that morning and just looks old. That changes the story idea a bit, right? Like @bettywood wondering about the other glove, maybe the owner just dropped it recently and is missing it. I get the cool magic item idea, but sometimes a lost glove is just a lost glove.

What happened to the other glove?

You're basically arguing against the fun mystery angle, but @bettywood's got a point - maybe that missing glove is the real story we should be chasing.
