My outline app kept deleting scene notes, turns out it was a sync quirk

I spent three hours last Thursday trying to figure out why my outline notes for a mystery novel kept vanishing. Every time I added a clue on my phone, it would erase a different section on my laptop. Turns out the app was syncing old versions because I had two accounts logged in on different devices. Has anyone else dealt with writing software doing weird stuff like this, or is it just me?

Writing software glitching is annoying for sure but three hours sounds a bit much. You had two accounts signed in and the app was just doing what apps do when they get confused. Pick one device, sign out of everything else, and move on with your life. Mystery novel clues are important but maybe autosave is doing more harm than good at this point.
