I think writing prompt lists are killing real story ideas and I'm done pretending otherwise
I ran a writers group in Portland for two years and watched people burn through 30 prompts a week while never finishing a single story. Last March I made everyone write one scene with zero prompts and we got more finished drafts in a month than all of 2022. Does anyone else think the prompt grind is just productive procrastination?
