Can we talk about the week my coffee maker died and everything fell apart?

Last Tuesday, my 3-year-old Mr. Coffee just stopped working right before my night shift. I had to run to the gas station for a cup, and then my car battery died in the parking lot. Has anyone else had a day where small things just stacked up like that?

Oh man, the universe really said "let's test this person" that day. I've had mornings where my toaster burned my bagel and my cat knocked over my coffee in the same five minutes. It's like the world just waits for you to be tired before throwing all the curveballs at once.

Three years is actually pretty good for a Mr. Coffee. I keep a backup French press in the pantry for exactly this reason. Even a cheap one from Target will save your morning when your main rig goes down.
