Ran my 40 ton on outrigger pads I cut myself from 2x12s and the difference was night and day
Bought a set of those plastic laminated pads for $400 when I first got my rig and they kept sinking in soft dirt at a site off Highway 99 near Chico. Cut my own out of scrap 2x12 doug fir, three layers glued and screwed, cost me maybe $35 in lumber. Same job two weeks later, same soft ground, and my bubble barely moved all day. Any of you running wood pads, or is there something better I'm missing for wet clay?
