Found out the average crane operator makes $60k a year and I've been undercharging for side jobs

I was looking at Bureau of Labor stats last night and saw the median is $60,390, which is way more than I thought for residential tower work. Anyone else notice a gap between what you actually earn and what those numbers claim?

Wait, are the BLS numbers actually accurate for residential work? I always figured those median stats were skewed by like union heavy civil guys but maybe I was wrong. This actually made me rethink how low I'm pricing my own jobs.

The BLS numbers actually separate residential from union work so those are real numbers for your kind of jobs.
