Why does nobody talk about how we used to sanitize brushes in Barbicide jars vs now with UV cabinets and why it scared me
I used to just dunk everything in that blue Barbicide jar and call it a day, which was fine until a client in Phoenix asked me point blank if that jar was clean, and I had no real answer. That was about 2 years ago and it sent me down a rabbit hole. Now I use a UV cabinet I picked up for $180 on sale, plus I still do the Barbicide soak first because old habits die hard. The scary part is I thought my old setup was totally fine, but I was changing that jar liquid maybe once a week when it should have been daily. I watched a rep demo a UV box that kills 99.9% of stuff in 10 minutes and it made me realize how much guesswork I was doing. If you have not looked at your sanitizing routine lately, please check it, because clients notice more than we think. What are you all using now, and did you ditch the jar or keep both?

Barbicide still works if you actually change it daily, UV boxes are mostly hype.
