TIL I finally hit 100 regulars in my book after 3 years in the chair
I was going through my booking app last night and noticed I have 100 clients who come back every 4 to 6 weeks, and honestly I sat there staring at the number for a minute. When I started at the salon on Maple Street in 2021 I had maybe 12 people who followed me from beauty school and I was sure I'd be building that list forever. The weird part is I can picture almost all of them and what they get done, like Mrs. Alvarez who only books for a root touch up on Fridays. For anyone who's been doing this longer than me, did you notice a point where the referrals just started snowballing on their own?
Wait, you remember what all 100 of them get done? I can barely keep track of my own clients' names half the time, let alone their usual service. Three years to hit that number seems fast though, most stylists I know took way longer to build a book that size.
