That $35 clipper blade I sharpened myself is working like new
I got tired of replacing blades every few months, so I bought a small sharpening stone kit off Amazon for around $35. After watching a couple of videos, I practiced on an old blade first, using light strokes at the same angle. Took me about 20 minutes to do my main clipper blade, and it's been cutting clean for 3 weeks now. Has anyone else tried this, or do you just stick to buying fresh blades from the supply store?

Did you check the blade for heat damage after you were done? I messed up my first one by going too fast and it got hot enough to change the temper, then it dulled again in like a week. Also, what grit did you end up using for the final pass? I found that makes a huge difference for how long the edge holds up on thicker hair.
