Read a study that said 40% of hair color damage happens in the first 10 minutes of processing
I found this in a research paper from the Journal of Cosmetic Science last week. It made me rethink my whole timing approach, especially for high-lift blondes. How do you all adjust your application speed for different formulas to cut down on that early damage?

That's wild but makes sense. Reminds me of how the first few minutes of anything often matter most, like cooking or even meeting new people. Do you split the formula or just work faster now?

Totally, @adam731. I've burned so many meals by messing up the first step. Now I just force myself to slow down at the start, even if I'm in a rush.

Honestly, it's just cooking though. How bad can a messed up first step really be?
