PSA: A tiny change to my color mixing routine saved so much time.
Pre-wetting your brush helps pigment spread evenly on the first swipe.

My friend used to waste so much time re-mixing paints because the color wouldn't spread right. She saw a tip about wetting the brush first (probably from a forum like this) and gave it a shot. Now her first swipe covers evenly, and she finishes pieces way faster. It's funny how such a small tweak can make a huge difference, you know? She's almost annoyed she didn't try it sooner.

Remember reading a blog post about brush prep... the author said a wet brush helps spread acrylics evenly. It has to do with how the water mixes with the paint on the bristles. Those tiny steps really do add up over time.

Seriously, she never wet her brush before? I mean, that's like the most basic painting hack out there. It's kinda shocking it took her this long to try it.
