I was dead wrong about those expensive color brushes

For like 2 years I refused to buy the fancy brushes, thought it was all hype. Finally caved and got a Denman brush set at the supply store in Portland for $45. After just one balayage session the difference in how clean the color lifted was insane, no weird streaks. Has anyone else had a brand totally change their mind on something they swore was overpriced?

Read something similar about their curling wands recently on another sub.

Yeah I saw that same thread over on the curly hair subreddit. @riley_taylor did it mention anything about the ceramic coating peeling off after a few uses? Thats the main thing Ive been hearing about lately. The wands seem to have a real quality control problem across the board not just with one specific model. Its making me wonder if they changed something in their manufacturing process this year.

Wait, I gotta ask - did you feel like a total idiot holding that Denman brush for the first time? I did. Spent years wrestling with cheap drugstore brushes, convinced I was saving money. Then I borrowed a friend's expensive round brush for a blowout. My hair actually looked shiny instead of like a frizzy mess. Bought the exact same one that week. Still cringe thinking about all those bad hair days I could've avoided.
