I paid $38 for a lash lift wand and it ruined a bride's trial run, I'm still not over it
So about 6 months ago I bought one of those heated lash wands off a random ad, $38 with shipping. I figured it would speed up my lifts at the salon and honestly the reviews looked fine. First client I tried it on was a bride doing her trial run for a wedding in Austin, and her lashes went stiff and crimped on one side. I had to sit there and fix it with a spoolie for 45 minutes while she kept checking the time on her phone. She was nice about it but I could tell she was nervous, and she asked if that had ever happened before, which is never a good sign. Ended up comping her whole appointment, so that little wand cost me $38 plus a $95 service. It's been sitting in my drawer since, and now I just use my old spoolie and patience like a normal person. Has anyone else gotten burned by a cheap tool that promised to save time?
