I just read that the average person loses about 50-100 hairs a day, which seems like a lot more than I thought.

Found that stat in a dermatology journal while researching for a client with thinning concerns, and it's making me rethink how I talk about normal daily shedding during consultations.

Read a study that showed hair shedding does increase in late summer and fall. The theory is it's linked to how hair growth cycles sync up with seasonal changes. Makes that 50-100 number a moving target for sure.

Ever wonder if seasons change that number?

Yeah, the moving target thing is real. I tracked my own hair loss for a year and the fall was way worse, like 120-150 hairs some days. I started using a gentler shampoo and a silk pillowcase, which seemed to help a bit when it was at its worst. It didn't stop the seasonal shed, but it felt less extreme.
