Had to pick between tape and liquid for a full set yesterday

Client wanted a full set of acrylics but was rushing to a dinner thing and asked if tape was faster. I went with liquid since tape always lifts on me after a few days for active people. She called me this morning saying two popped off already - anyone else notice tape just doesn't hold for certain lifestyles?

I used to swear by tape for full sets, figured it saved time and clients liked the faster service. But after seeing this happen a few times, especially with people who are always moving or work with their hands, I totally changed my mind. Tape just doesn't grip the natural nail the same way liquid does, no matter how well you prep. It's like the bond is weaker from the start, so any little bump or moisture gets under it and causes lifting. Now I only reach for tape if someone needs a quick fill or repair, never for a full set again. What kind of activities does she do that might have stressed the nails?

Yeah I used to be all about tape for the same reasons, thought it was the quicker option and clients seemed happy. But honestly after dealing with lifting and breakage on active clients I had to admit the bond just isn't as solid as liquid. So while its fine for a touch up here and there, I'm with you now, full sets get liquid every time.
