Found out foiling cream can lift old toner in 5 minutes flat
I had this client yesterday who wanted to go from brass to ash but her ends were stubborn from a DIY box dye. I tried a gentle toner but it barely grabbed after 8 minutes. On a hunch (and slight panic), I brushed on a thin layer of foiling cream at her roots and mids before the second toner application. The color shifted completely in under 5 minutes and her hair felt fine after. Has anyone else used foiling cream like this to correct tone issues, or am I just lucky it didn't fry her hair?

Foaming cream is a TOTAL game-changer for stubborn toner, I've used it the same way.

@lisaf38 nailed it and shes totally right but theres a risk nobody warned me about. Did a test on a section first cause i was scared and thank god i did because that foiling cream lifted so fast it almost turned a patch of her mids green from overcorrection. Had to scramble with a purple shampoo to balance it back. Not saying dont do it but maybe watch the clock like a hawk and check every 30 seconds especially if the hair is already damaged.
