Drenched a client's silk dress with toner by accident
I was working on a balayage at my station in Chicago last Tuesday and totally knocked over my bowl of toner right onto this lady's expensive silk blouse. She had on this cream colored top and the toner left a big orange stain before I could even grab a towel. I panicked for a second but then remembered this trick I saw on a beauty forum about using rubbing alcohol on fresh toner stains. I dabbed it with a paper towel and some alcohol and the stain lifted almost all the way out. The client was super chill about it thank goodness but I offered to pay for dry cleaning anyway. Anyone else got a go to method for removing toner stains from clothes on the spot?

Spilled red wine on a white tablecloth at a party once and dumped salt on it right away - that saved the whole thing. Glad the alcohol trick worked for you, good to have that in the back pocket for next time.

My friend tried the salt thing once but she put way too much and it ended up soaking up all the color but leaving a sticky salty crust that was worse than the stain. She had to scrape it off and then the tablecloth was all gross and lumpy anyway. So I guess the alcohol trick is probably more foolproof if you mess it up less.
