Blew $80 on a cheap ion dryer and it smoked out after 3 weeks, replaced it with a Babyliss that actually works
The plastic housing literally started melting on a thick client's hair this morning at the salon and I had to finish her blowout with my coworker's backup, has anyone else had a budget tool straight up catch fire on them?

That's an ion dryer, not an ionic one... big difference in how they work.

Oh man, that reminds me of my buddy Tom. He spent like 300 bucks on one of those ionic dryers thinking it was the same thing and his hair kept getting all staticky and weird. Took him a month to figure out he got the wrong one.
