Subcontractor's spreadsheet broke our entire submittal log in Dallas

We had a guy from a steel crew in Dallas send us a 'final' submittal spreadsheet that had 47 hidden tabs with duplicate version numbers, and it wiped out our whole review queue in Procore. The time stamps were three months off and the naming convention was just initials plus random dates, so nobody could tell what was current. Has anyone else dealt with a partner's messy data import nuking their project history, or do we just make everyone use the built-in forms from now on?

And honestly once one spreadsheet goes rogue like that it just poisons the whole system, you end up second guessing every file that comes in after it. We had a similar mess last year and now my guys do a quick visual check on every import before it touches the live log, just screen grab the tabs and names first.
