Our PM software crashed on a Friday at 3pm and I ended up reading drywall specs off a paper napkin for two crews
Last Friday at 3pm our construction management software went dark right in the middle of a concrete pour at a job site in Boise, and I had two foremen calling me at the same time because nobody could pull up the specs. I ended up writing the mix ratios and pour locations on a Taco Bell napkin and handing it to a guy named Dave, who squinted at my handwriting for a solid minute before asking if the second number was a 4 or a 9. Turns out the server room had a breaker trip from a space heater someone plugged in, and it took 90 minutes to get everything back online. We still finished the pour on time, but I now keep a printed backup of every active job sheet in my truck. Anyone else got a backup plan for when the software just dies on you mid-task?
