Lost $1,100 on a takeoff software demo that couldn't read my own PDFs
Last month I signed up for a 3 month plan on a takeoff tool. $1,100 up front. The demo looked great. Then I loaded a 40 page plan set from a job in Mesa and it choked on every sheet. Half the walls came in sideways. I spent two weekends redrawing stuff it should have caught. Support just kept saying my PDFs were low quality, but they came straight from the architect. What do you all use for takeoff that actually handles real plan sets? Not looking to burn another grand on a maybe.
