Dropped $800 on project tracking software and it flopped hard.

I run a small crew for commercial builds in Phoenix. Last quarter I spent $800 on a fancy project tracking tool. Thought it would streamline everything for us. Big mistake. The thing was way too complicated for my guys in the field. They spent more time clicking buttons than actually working. I had to sit down with each guy and explain the same screens over and over. Two weeks in we ditched it and went back to daily paper logs on the clipboard. Has anyone else thrown cash at a tool that just made things slower?

Seems like every new device or app now comes with a manual longer than the warranty.

Oh come on, you can't be serious! I actually love getting a thick manual with my gadgets. It means the company actually thought through how people might use it, instead of just throwing features together. Yeah it's a bit boring to read through sometimes but I'd rather have too much info than not enough, you know? At least then I can figure out all the cool stuff it does without having to guess or watch some poorly made YouTube tutorial. Plus have you seen the warranty length on some of these things? Sometimes theyre only 90 days which is basically nothing, so at least give me the manual!
