Am I the only one who misses printing out the schedule and marking it up with a pen?
I was talking to my old super Ray at a job site in Modesto a few weeks back and he told me he's been running work for 31 years and he still asks his admin to print the schedule every Friday. I laughed at first, then he pulled a marked up sheet out of his truck with notes from the last month all over it, and I kind of got it. When I pull up the schedule in the app I scroll and scroll and everything looks the same, but a printed page with his scribbles shows him where the electricians were late and where the concrete pour got pushed. He said the software tells him what should happen and the paper shows him what actually did. I've been in construction management tools for 8 years now and I still can't argue with that. Anyone else keep a paper copy of the schedule going even with the software doing all the tracking?
