Update: That $400 power trowel blade I was mad about

I bought a set of those expensive Kwik-Trowel blades back in April. Thought I got scammed after the first slab because they left lines everywhere. Turns out I just didn't break them in right. After about 500 square feet they started gliding smooth. Now I get a way better finish than the cheap blades ever gave me. Anybody else have a tool that took way longer than expected to work right?

I read your post and that line about "500 square feet" really stuck with me. People don't realize some tools need a real break-in period, not just a quick spin. I've had the same experience with a handheld edger I use for concrete work. The first twenty feet or so it left these ugly drag marks and I was ready to toss it. But after running it on a few more jobs the blade wore in evenly and now it cuts like butter. It's frustrating when you pay good money for something and it doesn't work right away, but sometimes you just have to trust the process and give it the time it needs to settle in.
