That two-day pour in Phoenix last July nearly broke me

We had a 120 yard driveway going in, and the temp hit 115 both days with the sun just baking everything before we could finish. The mix started setting up in the truck before we even got it down, and we had to work like crazy to keep edges from curling. Has anyone else dealt with rapid set issues in extreme heat and found a mix additive that actually buys you time?

Fry an egg" is cute but that driveway heat WILL wreck your pour.

That sounds brutal. Heat like that makes everything worse.

Ha, I gotta push back on that one @anderson.david. Some of us actually thrive when it gets hot enough to fry an egg on the sidewalk. Makes you move slower, think clearer, and it's the perfect excuse to drink iced coffee all day.
