Question about a weird cold joint on a garage slab

Had a truck break down on a pour in Tacoma last Tuesday, and fixing that ridge took me and my partner almost five hours with grinders and a patching compound. Anyone have a faster fix for a set-up line that's a full inch off?

Man, that sounds brutal. I once saw a crew try to fix a ridge like that with a floor leveler, but it just feathered out and cracked within a month.

Yeah, feathering out a leveler over a ridge is just asking for trouble. @emma_clark, did that crew grind the ridge down at all first, or did they just pour right over the top of it? I've seen that shortcut before and it never holds, the high spot just works against the patch.
