PSA: I been pouring slabs for 11 years and just found out my screed board was the problem the whole time
Buddy of mine in Fresno asked why my slabs always had a low spot near the garage corner, and he checked my 2x4 with a string line, thing was bowed almost a half inch. Eleven years of blaming the mud, the weather, the guy on the rake, and it was a warped board I bought at the start. Any of you keep a known straight board and check it with a string before every pour, or am I the only one who never thought to do that?
