My concrete patch at the shop is holding up, but I have a color question

I patched a big crack in the concrete where I park cars at my auto shop last month. I used a basic mix and a trowel, and it's still solid even with daily use, which is kinda surprising. But idk, is there a trick to blending the patch color with the old concrete?

I saw a tip at the hardware store about adding a little gray concrete tint to the mix water before you patched. New concrete is always brighter, so it never really matches perfect without help. You could try a stain or dye made for concrete on the dried patch, but that’s kinda tricky to get right. Honestly, it might just blend in better after a few months of getting dirty from the shop floor.

Yeah, the stain and dye route is tricky. I ended up mixing a little bit of clean, dry dirt from my yard into the patch mix. Just sifted it first to get the big chunks out. It took the edge off that bright new look and blended way better than any tint I bought.

Man, my friend did that tint trick and it still looked totally wrong.
